Senior Leadership

Dr. Brophy’s service as a private college president spans seventeen years. He became president of Marymount California University in 2006 when it was a small liberal arts college in Los Angeles. He led the transformation of the private two-year college to a multi-site university with undergraduate and graduate degree offerings, doubling enrollment, leading successful fundraising campaigns, and spearheading facilities improvements that built new living and learning environments.

Dr. Brophy was appointed president at Benedictine University (Chicago and Phoenix area campuses) in 2015 and led the University as it implemented its new strategic plan, increased fundraising, raised its Standard & Poor’s credit rating, opened a new college of business, and increased its graduate, online, athletic, and community college partnership enrollments.

Prior to his presidencies, he served as a campus dean within the University of Wisconsin system and as a dean of enrollment at Long Island University (New York), the State University of New York, and The Sage Colleges (New York). Dr. Brophy earned a BA in music and a MA in English from The College of Saint Rose, an MFA in writing from Long Island University, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

A Fulbright recipient, Dr. Brophy has taught and conducted research in Europe and Cuba. An accomplished filmmaker, he has written, directed and edited three films that screened at film festivals, theaters, museums, universities, and foundations throughout the United States, Cuba and Europe, and has had screenplays selected to the Independent Feature Project Market in New York. As a musician, he has accompanied gospel choirs and performed with students and faculty in classical, pop, and jazz settings. He and his wife, Tara, have three adult children who are the center of their lives.

Prior to joining Hilbert College, Dr. Still served as a Professor of Education and the Founding Dean of the College of Applied and Social Sciences at the University of Mount Union. In this role, she had oversight of 3 academic schools and 2 robust academic departments which were the School of Business, the School of Education, the School of Engineering, the Department of Math and Computer Sciences and the Department of Social Sciences. Additionally, she oversaw the Regula Center for Public and Civic Engagement which was the service learning and community outreach hub at the University of Mount Union. Dr. Still has managed academic portfolios, program accreditations, advisory boards, budgets, and full and part time faculty and staff.  She has worked extensively with pipeline/pathway programs aimed at providing support for high school schools interested in pursuing higher education.

Prior to her position at Mount Union, Dr. Still served as the Associate Dean for Student Services and External Relations in the College of Education and Human Services at Cleveland State University. In this role, she oversaw the College’s Advising Office as well as the Office of Field Services. Additionally, Dr. Still directed all external reporting efforts and governed the College Scholarship and Recruitment initiatives.

Prior to assuming her role of Associate Dean, Dr. Still served as an Associate Professor of Early Literacy in the Department of Teacher Education at Cleveland State University. She served as the Coordinator of the Literacy Education Program, Director of CSU’s Community Learning Center for Children and Youth (CLC) and was the founding Faculty Advisor for IRA@CSU, the University’s, and organization’s first Student Chapter of The International Reading Association.

During her initial years at Cleveland State University, Dr. Still served as the Director of The Cleveland Schools Book Fund, a project funded through a $5 million-dollar endowment, and which created classroom libraries in all K-3 classrooms in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. As a faculty member, Dr. Still was also active in CSU’s Campus International School where she served as a resource for IB Curriculum initiatives and conducted research to support teacher inquiry.

Dr. Still’s major research interests have focused on the integration of meaningful technology-based literacy events in primary grade classrooms in addition to a variety of related topics around Literacy Instruction and Teacher Professional Development. To date, she has given 78 presentations at professional conferences (regionally, nationally, and internationally) and is author and/or co-author of 27 scholarly writings, has secured upwards of $1.6 million dollars in funds to support research projects and scholarship grants for students and has served as a consultant on a variety of projects including a 4-year project for the Ohio Department of Education.

Prior to joining Hilbert College, Dr. Harris served as the Senior Associate Dean of Students at Methodist University in North Carolina. In his role, he had direct oversight for Housing and Residence Life, Counseling Services, Health Services, Campus Recreation and Intramurals, Student Activities, Fraternity and Sorority Life, New Student Orientation, and Student Conduct. Dr. Harris was instrumental in improving support for student success by developing a campus-wide case management team. He also led the effort in collecting wellbeing data through Wake Forest University’s wellbeing collaborative. This inspired a stronger commitment toward promoting a culture of wellbeing on campus. Dr. Harris also developed and ran a professional manager’s certificate program for students, staff, and faculty that provided the community with management and leadership seminars.

Prior to joining the staff at Methodist University, Dr. Harris held leadership positions in Housing and Residence Life at several institutions. He oversaw the development of an inaugural housing program in Georgia. As Associate Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life at Lake Forest College, he doubled the size of the professional staff, developed living-learning communities, and created standard operating procedures that improved safety structures on campus. Dr. Harris began his professional residence life work at Georgetown University where he managed several residential communities and created a residence hall governance system serving over 6,000 residents..

Dr. Harris earned a B.A. in Public Relations and M.Ed. in Counseling with a concentration in College Student Development from North Carolina State University. He received his Ed.D. from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education.

Meghan received a bachelor of science degree in Social Work from Buffalo State University in 2006. Upon graduating, she accepted a position at Heart, Love & Soul Soup kitchen in Niagara Falls, NY. There, her interest in college access programs and utilizing higher education as a catalyst for social mobility was sparked.

After earning a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration in 2008, Meghan accepted a position with D’Youville University as an Admissions Counselor, eventually becoming the Director of Admissions. During her twelve-year tenure, she presented at regional and national conferences on the importance of additional support for students facing school to school transition. She also assisted D’Youville in reducing enrollment barriers, such as eliminating the SAT requirement and participating with the Say Yes to Education Program.

Meghan came to Hilbert College in October of 2020 to continue her work with college access programs and initiatives. In May of 2022 and after a record new student enrollment year, she was appointed as the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid. In this role, Meghan created a new position in the Admissions Department titled Coordinator for Diversity Recruitment & Access, collaborates with the Athletics Department on new initiatives with athletic recruitment, and strategizes with the Student Finance professionals to make Hilbert College a reality for many new students and their families. In September 2023, Meghan was promoted to Vice President for Undergraduate Enrollment Management in order to continue this work.

Meghan resides in the Town of Tonawanda with her husband and children, one of whom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies from Hilbert College in 2023.

Kathleen currently serves as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Hilbert College, a position she has held since May 2019. Previously, she served as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at D’Youville University and for 12 years was the Executive Director of The BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund, a privately funded tuition assistance program for low-income students (K-12th grade) to attend private school of choice in Western New York.

Kathleen has been a leader in fundraising and leadership for educational organizations for over 30 years and has led successful campaigns that have raised over $25 million. An engaged and active member of the Western New York community, she has developed strong relationships with business and community leaders, as well as private and public foundations that have resulted in significant partnerships and investments for the organizations she represents.

Kathleen serves on several local nonprofit boards, including currently serving as the Chair of the Education Advisory Council for the Diocese of Buffalo, and serves on the Board and Executive Committee of Our Lady of Victory Human Services Board.
She is also a 2004 graduate of Leadership Buffalo. Kathleen is a native of Franklinville, NY, and received her B.A. in History/Political Science and a Minor in Sociology from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY and Masters in Public Administration from Hilbert College.

Bobbie Bilotta currently serves as the Director of Human Resources for Franciscan Services and Hilbert College. She has over 30 years of human resources experience in Higher Education. Prior to joining Hilbert College in September of 2023, she served as the Director of Human Resources at Medaille University, where she oversaw all aspects of human resources management including benefits, compliance, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, professional development training, and employee wellness and safety initiatives.

During Bobbie’s tenure at Medaille she served as the Co-Chair of the Employee Engagement Committee, which coordinated efforts to: advance the interest of the university and the surrounding community; provide development opportunities that cultivate the skills needed by all employees; foster university-wide communication that celebrates victories; and develop projects that promote employee engagement, cross departmental communication and create new and build upon existing traditions.
Outside of work, Bobbie has served as a volunteer for United Way Day of Caring, Habitat for Humanity Buffalo, Jericho Road, Urban League, and Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo. She has also had the privilege of coaching and mentoring students enrolled in organizational leadership programs.

Bobbie holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Medaille University and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Canisius University.

Dr. DeBose’s service in higher education spans sixteen years. Most of her leadership experience has focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program development and helping students find their purpose. Dr. DeBose has implemented and coordinated a multitude of programs that work towards improving the acclimation, transition, well-being, and overall success of underrepresented and historically excluded students. Although her passion is to lead, uplift, inspire, empower, and educate students; most of her experiences have focused on reducing barriers and creating opportunities for student success that transcends the classroom.

In 2007, she served as a counselor for the Canisius Opportunity Programs for Educational (COPE) office at Canisius College. Shortly after, she was promoted to Assistant Director, where she served for seven years. In this role, Dr. DeBose was responsible for the daily management of the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Program. Her primary role was coordinating the admissions process, reviewing applications, coordinating community service projects, securing financial eligibility, coordinating a six-week summer enrichment program, and providing academic, financial, and personal support.
In 2016, Dr. DeBose was appointed director of the SUNY Geneseo Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Transitional Opportunity Program (TOP), and the McNair Scholars Program. In this role, Dr. DeBose helped secure a million-dollar grant designed to encourage and support BIPOC students to pursue a doctoral field of study by providing: research-intensive experiences and extensive mentoring and support. In this role she was able to help minimize barriers for low-income, underrepresented students, restructured the Learning Center, and created multiple programs, pipelines and services aimed to increase student retention.

Preceding her role as Vice Present for Mission and Equity, Dr. DeBose served as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Hilbert College.

Prior to her role in higher education, Dr. DeBose served as a mental health counselor at Horizon Health services and a school counselor at Job Corps. Academy. Dr. DeBose earned a BS in Social Work from SUNY Fredonia, MSW from SUNY Buffalo, and a Ed. D in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher College. Dr. DeBose also received certification in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.

Dr. DeBose is committed to helping minimize barriers and empowering individuals to reach their full potential. She is a transformational leader who understands the calling that has been placed on her life. She is woman of prayer and faith, and she is committed to supporting, uplifting, and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

In addition to serving as Vice President for Mission and Equity, Dr. DeBose also serves as a part-time counselor for Best- Self Behavioral Health and she serves as an adjunct faculty member at SUNY Buffalo. Dr. DeBose enjoys shopping, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.

In 2003, Don Lando earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Communications from the University at Buffalo. Upon graduation, Lando was hired as an Associate Director of Admissions for the Online Division at Bryant & Stratton College (BSC).

As Associate Director of Admissions, his primary role was to enroll students into online degree programs while managing a team of admission representatives. While working full-time, Lando went on to earn his MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2008. In 2012 he was offered the position of Associate Dean of Student Services.

As Associate Dean, Lando focused on increasing new and continuing student retention while managing a team of academic advisors and teaching online. In 2017, Lando was recruited and offered the position of Director of Online Education at Medaille University. A short year after that he was promoted to Associate Vice President of Admissions and Marketing. While at Medaille, Lando was in charge of the online division as well as overseeing the Master’s programs at the Buffalo & Rochester campus locations.

In 2021, Lando joined Hilbert College as Vice President of Hilbert College Global. The main focus is to grow new student enrollment for Hilbert College Global and expand marketing nationally, with over 20 years of Higher Education experience in admissions, student services and marketing.

Tim Seil was named Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Hilbert College by President Michael S. Brophy, Ph.D. on December 15, 2021.

During his time at Hilbert, Seil has overseen the addition of four new athletic programs (Football, Women’s Hockey, and Men’s and Women’s Track & Field). These programs have grown the student-athlete population at Hilbert to more than 300 student-athletes. During his tenure, Hilbert was accepted as a member of the Empire 8 for football starting in 2024.

During the 2022-2023 athletic campaign the Hawks found success within many of their programs. Baseball, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Volleyball, and Women’s Volleyball all significantly improved their win totals, and set program records. The athletic program also relaunched Women’s Bowling and Women’s Lacrosse under his direction. The department also set records during the college’s annual Giving Day.

Prior to Hilbert, Seil has served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities at Canisius College. He managed the daily operations of the Koessler Athletic Center, as well as the game day operations for all 20 of Canisius’ athletic programs. He also oversaw 18 club sport teams and the intramural program. He also served as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Canisius. Prior to working in athletic facilities, Seil oversaw the academic support for all student-athletes at Canisius. In that role, he worked with departments and support services across campus to ensure student-athlete success.

Prior to Canisius, Seil served as an Academic Coordinator at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Seil previously served as a graduate assistant at Canisius and an assistant baseball coach at Medaille College. He is a certified game official for high school and college basketball, he serves as an adjunct professor at Canisius, and he was the Game Day Compliance Monitor for Major League Baseball when games were played at Sahlen Field in Buffalo during the 2021 season.

Seil earned his bachelor’s degree in health and physical education, as well as his master’s degree in sport administration from Canisius. He was an NCAA Division I baseball student-athlete for the Golden Griffins.
Seil lives in Buffalo with his wife, Katie, and their son, Nolan.

Prior to joining Hilbert in February 2022, Trumble served as Deputy CIO and Director of Enterprise Solutions for Hobart and William Smith Colleges since 2008 and Manager, Web Services and Student Systems at the Rochester Institute of Technology since 2002.

Trumble has also held roles in commercial Information Technology at Bausch & Lomb and HSBC Bank.

Trumble has served leadership roles on advisory boards for Oracle and the Higher Education Web Developer Association.

Ryan currently serves as the outsourced Chief Financial Officer at Hilbert College, a position he has held since July 2022, a position he previously held between July 2019 and October 2019. Ryan is a Director at Freed Maxick CPAs, P.C. and leads their Higher Education practice. Prior to re-joining Hilbert College, Ryan served as the outsourced Chief Financial Officer for Concordia College (Bronxville, NY) from December 2019 through July 2022.

Ryan joined Freed Maxick in July 2011. Prior to joining Freed Maxick, Ryan was a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Buffalo, NY. Ryan has worked with a number of institutions of higher education, and other large not-for-profit organizations over the course of his career. Over the course of his career, he has extensive experience performing external audits, leading a fully outsourced internal audit department for a large technological research university, performing business office and business process reviews and serving in fully outsourced C-suite positions.

Ryan is active in the local Western New York community. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors at Peaceprints of WNY (Buffalo, NY), an organization he has been involved with since 2011. Ryan also serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School (Rochester, NY).
