HAMBURG, NY – In an AMCC battle, the Hilbert College women’s basketball team fell to Pitt-Bradford 56-41 on February 15. The Hawks (3-21, 2-15) played solid defense which kept the Panthers (10-14, 8-9) from getting into a rhythm, but were plagued by their own shooting woes, connecting on just 23.3% from the floor on the night.
The Hawks dominated the boards, pulling down 53 rebounds for the game, but committed 26 turnovers which Bradford took full advantage of. The Panther bench seemed deep, as 23 of their points came from the reserves and with Alicia Kimmel leading all scorers with 12 points.
In addition to Kimmel, the Panthers were also supported by Hollie Rapp’s double-double performance of 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Hilbert will play in their final AMCC contest of the season this Saturday, February 18, when they host Penn State Altoona at 4pm.
