Golfers Finish Season at AMCC Championships

FINAL AMCC CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
MIDDLESEX, OH - Penn State Behrend led both days of the AMCC championship golf tournament and finished 17 strokes ahead of runner up La Roche College to win their third conference title and second in three years. With a team total of 300, the Lions were led by freshman Scott Klein, who carded a 74/73/147 to finish as the individual runner up after a sudden death playoff hole. La Roche freshman Shane Eichenlaub (73/74/147) won the hole to claim medalist honors.
Hilbert College finished with a team score of 772 (370/402) in the 10-team championship tournament. The Hawks were led by John Nowak who finished the two-day tournament with a 181 total score. He carded 94 on day-two after hitting an 87 the day before to finish in 38th place. Also scoring for Hilbert were Pat Brooks with 186 (92/94), Jim Pernick – 196 (92/104), Mitch Rojeck – 209 (99/110). Gary Gawera completed the course with a 215 score (104/111).
