Reischuck Leads The Hawks In Loss at Medaille

BUFFALO, NY – Sophomore Chelsea Reischuck pounded 11 kills (.263%) to lead the Hilbert women’s volleyball team in a 3-set AMCC loss at Medaille College September 28. After a slow first set, the Hawks picked up their play and made things interesting the following two games (25-14, 25-20, 25-23). Hilbert drops to 0-3 in AMCC play while Medaille jumps to 3-0 after last weekend’s opening of league play.
Reischuck earned 12 of the Hawks 29 points through a combination of kills and one block at the net. Sophomore Shannon Memminger was credited with all 18 of the teams assists and middle hitter Rachel Kwiatkowski served four services aces.
Medaille was led by Meghan Fahy (Oct. 26 – AMCC Player of the Week) with 16 kills (7 digs, 3 aces, 2 blocks).
Next up for the Hawks (2-8, 0-3) is a home tri-match October 1. Hilbert hosts La Roche at 11 am, La Roche then plays Alfred at 1 pm; the day ends with a Hilbert – Alfred rematch. Hilbert took the 3-set win at Alfred (25-23, 28-26, 25-19) September 17.
