HAMBURG, NY – The Hilbert Hawks women’s soccer team improved their record to 3-2 for the season after a big home win against Alfred University September 13. The final score for the contest was 3-0, led by Hilbert’s Kayla Norman {in photo to right} with two goals, and Megan VanNorman who had the other score.

It was a very physical game with many fouls called throughout. The Hawks out-shot Alfred 10-6 for the game and Mary Zinni had three saves as the winning keeper for Hilbert. Alyssa Hulbert and Sarah Schmidt were each credited for an assist to Norman’s two goals. Alfred, who had three shots on goal, dropped to 1-4 on the season.

Hilbert has a string of away games, before returning home to host a conference competitor, University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 24.
