ALLIANCE, OH – After giving up the first goal of the game at the 11 minute mark, Hilbert College’s women’s soccer team settled down and played even with the University of Mount Union the rest of the first half.

Alyssa Hulbert’s three shots on goal weren’t enough punch for the Hawks who, as a team, got only 5 shots off for the game. Less than ten minutes into the second half, Allison Fouss from Mt. Union scored her second goal of the game sending the Hawks back home with a 4-0 loss.

The Purple Raiders kept Mary Zinni busy firing 27 shots, with the junior keeper getting her hands on seven of them.

Hilbert (0-2) look to regroup before they host Wells College September 7 with a 5pm match.
