Myrtle Beach, SC – The Hilbert softball team continues to improve during their spring trip to Myrtle Beach. After flying down late Friday night, the Hawks have already played 6 games (2-4). The royal and white have scored 24 runs while giving up only 14 in their last four games showing signs of growth.

Hilbert faced Welsey College in a morning game March 11 and finished with a 7-5 defeat. A short time late, the Hawks squared off against Keystone State who eked out a 1-0 victory over Hilbert.

Today, March 12th was a great day – the Hawks earned their first shutout win while down south. They captured an 8-0, 5 inning victory over Wentworth College.

There are two games remaining on Hilbert’s schedule before they load the planes and fly back north. On tap is an 11:30 am match against Emmanuel College followed by a 1:30 pm event with Blackburn College March 13th.

As soon as game files become available, the box scores will be posted on the softball page.
