Ellis and Williams Run the Course for Hilbert

GENEVA, NY – The men’s and women’s Hilbert cross country teams competed at the Cross Country Only Competition (CCOC) hosted by William Smith College which was held at Seneca Lake State Park October 13. William Smith captured the women’s 5K race while Clarkson University ran away with the men’s 8K race. 

Shannon Ellis took a Hilbert first place finish covering the course in 22:27.1 coming in  43rd overall. She held a two minute lead over team mate Miranda Reimondo (24:21.53). Katleland Ball’s 26:04 set the pace for Kayla Lansberry (26:16.49), and Julie Rouleau and Miranda Smith.
Matt Williams led the Hawks around the park as he took a 78th  place finish as the first runner in 32:20.51 just a head of Josh Walczuk who ran a 33:12.26. Hilbert’s other runners were Tyler Roth (44:30.38), Steven Phillips (44:54.32) and Akeem Todd (45:17.39).
The Hawks travel next Saturday to the Wells College Invitational October 20th. They finish the season the last Saturday of October at the AMCC Championships hosted by Mount Aloysius College.
