Criminal Justice

"When I was looking for colleges, I put Hilbert on the list because I'd heard what a good school it is. But the moment I set foot on campus for a tour, I knew it was where I wanted to go. Hilbert is a great place to start, especially for criminal justice majors. It has a great reputation within the law enforcement community."

Leanne Rosner, Class of 2007

Your Journey Starts Here

The Hilbert criminal justice major, one of the top in New York State, is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare you for a career in law enforcement at all levels - local, state or federal, as well as careers in law or graduate-level work in criminal justice or a related discipline. The program strives to promote understanding of key criminal, legal and scientific issues affecting contemporary society and respect for racial, ethnic, cultural and gender diversity.

In addition, many of our professors have extensive experience in criminal justice, adding an important, real-world aspect to your learning environment. And you'll even have the opportunity to work with professors conducting research through the college's Institute for Law and Justice.
