Volleyball Suffers a Set Back

HAMBURG, NY – Hilbert College was swept in women’s volleyball September 25 when they dropped three sets to Buffalo State College in a non-conference match. The visiting Bengals broke Hilbert’s three game winning streak and dropped them to an impressive 10-3 overall record.
The Hawks ended the match hitting .052 with a season low 19 kills in their 25-15, 25-10, 25-18 defeat. Allegra Johnson finished with team high five kills and matched Jordan Botsford and Kayla Lewis with five digs. Rachel Kwiatkowski was active at the net earning 3 blocks and Shannon Memminger distributed 17 assists.
The Hawks turn around and play AMCC and cross-town rival D’Youville College tomorrow, September 26 before they travel to Brockport for the two-day tournament over the weekend.
