The Hilbert College women’s volleyball team fell 3-0 (13-25, 19-25, 24-26) to Penn State Altoona on Saturday afternoon. With the defeat, the Hawks fall to 6-14 overall and 1-6 in conference play.
Freshman Elizabeth Delbert (Cheektowaga, NY/West Seneca East) continues to shine in the libero role. Delbert notched a team-high 25 digs against the Lions, to go along with 1 service ace.
Junior Destyn Brown (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) and freshman Dale Jonathan (Basom, NY/Akron Central) chipped in with 14 and 12 digs respectively.
Senior Melissa Kick (Blasdell, NY/Mt. Mercy) led the Hawks offensively with 9 assists.
The Hawks return to the hard-court Wed, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. with Hilbert travels to rival Medaille College.
