Women’s volleyball downed by Frostburg State

HAMBURG, NY – Frostburg State earned a 30-24, 30-15, 30-23 win over Hilbert College Saturday in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) women’s volleyball action. The loss marks the Hawks’ third straight as they fall to 7-7 overall and 0-3 in the conference. Frostburg moves to 11-7 overall and is off to a 2-0 start in the AMCC.
Hilbert’s Melissa Kick (Blasdell, NY/Mt. Mercy) was a bright spot for the Hawks with six digs and eight of the team’s 10 assists. Teammate Erica Page (Angola, NY/Lake Shore) chipped in with three kills and seven digs.
Hilbert will be back in action on Tuesday, October 2nd at local foe Buffalo State. Start time is scheduled for 7:00 pm at the Buffalo State Sports Arena.
