CRESSON, PA – After battling their first 110 minute game this season, the women’s soccer team came up empty in their scoreless match with Mount Aloysius September 22.
Hilbert opened the contest outshooting the Mounties 5-2 in the first half, but played almost even the remaining half and two overtime periods. Neither team could muster a shot in overtime although Mount Aloysius did press for one corner kick after regulation.
Nicole Blair led the offense with four (three on frame) of the Hawks 10 shots for the day. Robbi Bailey and Katie Newton ripped two shots each. Erin Smith made three saves for Hilbert (2-5-1, 0-0-1 AMCC).
Megan Parker generated the Mounties attack with five of their six shots.
Hilbert returns to Hamburg for their next game against cross-town rival, Medaille College September 25 with a 2pm kick.
