HAMBURG, NY – Keuka College made a clean sweep of their three matches this season against Hilbert College in women’s volleyball. The Storm’s Devan Curtis and Paige Golden each finished with 8 kills but it was Brittany Smyder who led the visitors in hitting percentage (0.353) to take a 3-0 victory September 26. Hilbert drops to 2-7 with the non-conference loss to Keuka who is on a roll this season winning their 7th game in 10 starts.
Hilbert played a competitive first and third set, losing both by the score of 25-22. But in their second and most important set to play, the Hawks came out flat and surrendered an 8 point lead which they never recovered from (25-14).
The Hawks next match is against cross town, and AMCC rival Medaille College in North Buffalo. Game time is scheduled for 7pm September 28 in the Sullivan Center.
