HAMBURG, NY – The Hilbert College women’s soccer program, under first year head coach Kelly Starchok-Gillow, hits the road and travels to the state of Ohio for their opening weekend slate.
The Hawks look to revenge last year’s 4-2 loss to Hiram College when they take the field September 3 (2pm). In the 2010 contest, Alyssa Hulbert (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) netted both first-half Hilbert goals sending the teams to intermission knotted at 2-2.
On Sunday, September 4th, the Hawks then travel to Alliance, OH to face the University of Mount Union in the programs first meeting. The 2pm contest will have live in-game statistics available for those who can’t make the trip but would like to follow the game. Please visit Mount Union’s website (http://athletics.mountunion.edu) and search for the women’s soccer page.
The women’s soccer program hosts their home opener against Wells College in a double-header contest September 7. The men’s game begins at 3pm with the women’s game to follow at 5pm.
