Hamburg, NY – Junior Julie Bossard (Arkport, NY/Canisteo-Greenwood) went 13 for 19 from the floor, scoring a career-high 29 points (13 rebounds) in Hilbert College’s 78-47 loss to Pitt-Bradford in women’s basketball January 17. Bradford moves to 8-1 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference league standings (10-5 overall) and Hilbert drops to 0-9 (1-14).
In a tale of two halves, the Hawks were down (39-30) at intermission after shooting fifty-nine percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes of play. The Panthers went on a 10-0 run to start the second half which set the tone for the rest of the game. Bradford’s Ashley Seidenstricker led the visitors with 23 points and 6 steals. Bradford out-rebounded the Hawks by only 2 boards for the game, but played great defense securing 24 steals.
The Hawks are off for a few days before they travel to Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 22 to play at La Roche College.
