The Hilbert College softball team fell in a double header to La Roche College by scores of 19-5 and 13-5, on April 5, 2009. The setbacks drop the Hawk’s record to 4-13 overall and 0-4 in AMCC play.
 
In game 1, the Hawks fell behind 13-4 after three innings. The Red Hawks would add a run in the fourth and five runs in the fifth to close out the Hawks.
 
Sarah Collins, (Milroy, PA/Indian Valley) and Halsey Baker (Scio, NY/Scio) were each 2-3 in game 1.
 
Game 2, saw the Hawks trailing 6-5 after four innings, but a seven run, fifth by the Red Hawks, closed the door on Hilbert. Junior Rachel Parker (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) was 1-3 with 2 RBIs, while senior Kelly Goodwin (Niagara Falls, NY) was 2-3, and also recorded 3 RBIs.
 
The Hawks return to action April 9 at Wells College.
