PAINESVILLE, OH – A game that was previously postponed on April 12th due to poor weather was concluded with a quick three up, three down inning as the visiting Hilbert College softball lost to Lake Erie College, 10-2.

Resumed in the top of the fifth inning, the Hawks sent three batters to the plate with hopes of advancing Kelly Goodwin (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) who started at second base. Goodwin would get as far as third, before two straight outs and Stephanie Lewandowski’s (Depew, NY/Depew) pop-up ended the game.

The loss drops the Hawks to 5-20 overall and 3-11 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). Hilbert will resume conference play on Sunday at La Roche College.
