Zinni Named AMCC Defensive Player of Week

Pittsburgh, PA - The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference announced Hilbert's Mary Zinni as the Defensive Player
of the Week ending September 26, 2010. The junior goalie had an outstanding week for the Hawks earning two shutout wins as the team went 2-0.
Against Thiel College, Zinni (Batavia, NY/Batavia) made 6 saves in 90 minutes of play in the team's 1-0 victory. On September 25, the Hawks played their first AMCC game at Greensburg, and after another shut out performance by Zinni, they returned home with a 2-0 win, improving their record to 4-5 (1-0).
For the week, Zinni made 13 saves in 180 minutes of play, earned her fourth shut out this season, and moved to fifteen shut outs in her two and a half season career thus far.
During the 2009 soccer season, Zinni was named AMCC Defensive Player of the Week and ECAC Div. III Mid-Atlantic Region Player of the Week.
