PITTSBURGH, PA – After going three straight games without giving up a goal, the Hilbert College women’s soccer team allowed two in a 2-0 defeat at La Roche College on Saturday. The win improves La Roche to 10-7-1 overall and 5-3 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC).
Hilbert’s Kelly Goodwin (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) recorded eight saves between the pipes before giving way to rookie keeper Brianna Jerreld (Eden, NY/Eden). Jerreld made two stops while making her seventh appearance of the season.
With just one conference game remaining for both teams, La Roche has already secured a spot in the upcoming AMCC tournament. Hilbert (4-11-2, 1-5-2) will wrap-up their season on Wednesday at the University of Pitt-Bradford.
