Brady’s First Goal Tames Wildcats

BUFFALO, NY – Hilbert College’s Jeanmarie Brady (Derby, NY/Lake Shore) scored the game winning goal with 32 minutes left to play to lead the host Hawks over SUNYIT (2-11) 2-1 on Monday in women’s collegiate soccer action. The deciding goal was the senior’s first of the season.
Hilbert freshman Amber Balseca (Newfane, NY/Newfane) opened the scoring with a breakaway goal 41 minutes into the game to give the Hawks a 1-0 half-time lead. Hawks freshman Kelly Goodwin (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) earned the win in goal recording six saves on the day.
The Hawks (4-7/0-4) return to action on Tuesday, October 11th when they play host to conference foe Lake Erie College at 2:00 pm.
