BUFFALO, NY – Hilbert College freshman Amber Balseca (Newfane, NY/Newfane) scored two goals in her collegiate debut to lead the Hawks over D’Youville College (0-2) 4-1 on Saturday in women’s soccer action. The win marks the 50th career victory for Hilbert head coach James Ruggiero.

Hilbert junior Rosanne Gawronski (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) added a goal and an assist and freshman Jenelle Kalies (Waterville, NY/Waterville) scored to secure the win. Hawks freshman Kelly Goodwin earned the win in goal.

The Hawks (1-0) return to action on Tuesday, September 6th when they play host to Medaille College at 3:00 pm.
