Hawks Win Two on the Road

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Hilbert College women’s soccer team picked up their third straight win with a 3-0 victory Sunday over Chatham College. The Hawks also grabbed a 6-2 win Saturday at Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe Mount Aloysius College. The successful weekend road trip boosts the Hawks record to 4-7-1 overall and 2-5 in AMCC play.


On Saturday at Mount Aloysius, Hilbert’s Jessica Macri (Lewiston, NY/Niagara Falls) scored two goals, including the game winner, while Rosie Gawronski (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West), Jill Kegler (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster), Jeanmarie Brady (Derby, NY/Lakeshore) and Kristen MacNeil (Lakeshore, NY/Immaculata) all netted goals in the Hawks win.


Sunday afternoon at Chatham College, Hilbert keeper Jackie Seifert (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) recorded her first career shutout to give the Hawks their third straight win. Macri netted her second straight game winning goal and Michelle Greco (Jamestown, NY/Southwestern) added two insurance goals to secure the victory.


The Hawks return home to face the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford at 2 p.m. Oct. 20.
