The Hilbert College women’s basketball team fell to Alfred University 80-27, Tuesday evening November 25. The loss drops the Hawks record to 0-4 on the season.
The host Saxons used a 24-8 run over the game’s first 11:14 to seize control of the contest.
The Hawks got a career-high 12 points from freshman Mary Zinni (Batavia, NY/Batavia). Zinni also grabbed 5 rebounds and recorded two steals for Hilbert. Junior Jackie Pienkowski (Buffalo NY/Holy Angels) chipped in with 6 points for the Hawks who shot just 23.7% from the field on the evening. Freshman Julie Bossard (Arkport, NY/Canisteo-Greenwood) posted a team-high 7 rebounds for the Hawks, to go along with 3 points, 1 block and 1 steal.
The Hawks return to action Sunday afternoon, November 30 at 2:00 p.m. when R.I.T. travels to the Hafner Recreation Center.
