HAMBURG, NY – Alfred University (6-17) outscored the Hilbert College women’s basketball team (6-17) 13-5 over the final 11:13 of play to pull away late and defeat the Hawks in a non-conference matchup, 53-44. The victory gives the Saxons a season sweep of
The game was close throughout the night, thanks to a 48-37 rebounding advantage for Hilbert. The Hawks cold shooting, however, would lead to their demise, as they shot only 15% from the field in the second half, and 26% for the game.
