Adam Weaver Named AMCC Player of the Week

PITTSBURGH, PA – Adam Weaver was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week February 4.
The junior from Stow, OH led the Hawks over the weekend with his 5.14 kills and 3.86 digs (.286 hitting percentage) and 4 blocks / 3 services aces in the Hawks’ two conference matches on Sunday. His highlight effort came in a 4-set loss to Penn State Altoona when he recorded 26 kills, 3 blocks and 16 digs.
On January 26th, Weaver became Hilbert College’s All Time Kill leader in the morning match against SUNYIT. The Outside Hitter currently has 627 kills.
The Hawks (2-5) have garnered wins over SUNYIT and Bard College, with losses to Elms College, Sage College, Altoona and D'Youville College (2x). They travel to North Buffalo for their UVC West Cross-Over match weekend at Medaille College. Hilbert (0-1 UVC) squares off against NYU and Bard on February 9th and then Vassar the following day.
