Volleyball At UVC Weekend, Basketball at MAC

HAMBURG, NY – This is a big weekend for Hilbert College’s athletic teams as they travel for important league matches.
The men’s volleyball team competes in their first United Volleyball Conference (UVC) cross-over weekend hosted by Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, NJ), February 11 and 12. The men and women’s basketball teams travel to Cresson, PA for rematch games against Mount Aloysius College February 11.
The volleyball team is ratcheting-up their league play while the basketball teams are winding down their schedule as they position themselves for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play-offs.
On day one of UVC action, the Hawks face SUNYIT at 1pm and Stevens at 5pm February 11 (view the Stevens (ONLY) game stats LIVE and watch the match LIVE on Empire8 TV). New York University squares off against Hilbert at 2pm February 12 before the Hawks travel back to Hamburg Sunday night. Currently, Hilbert is 0-1 in league standings having just lost to D’Youville College February 7.

Saturday, Feb. 11, the men’s basketball team hopes to sweep Mount Aloysius in their 3pm rematch. The Hawks (9-6) out-gunned the Mounties (6-9), 111-101, January 14 with five Hilbert players reaching double figure scoring. The women’s basketball team is preparing for a battle while they look to grab the win from the Mounties (9-6) at 5pm. Hilbert (2-13) dropped their first meeting (66-53) after heading into the locker room deadlocked at 28 by half time. Follow Facebook/Twitter for Hilbert updates following the basketball games.
