HC's Brittain Competes in Louisiana

HAMBURG, NY – Hilbert College men’s volleyball coach Charlie Brittain competed in the Men’s BB Club Championships of the USA Volleyball Open in New Orleans, Louisiana from May 31 to June 3rd.

Playing for Club Distillery out of Rochester, New York, the team finished second in the double-elimination gold bracket with Brittain receiving the honor of being named to the All Tournament Team. Club Distillery lost the gold medal game to the Texas Rangers 25-18 after previously defeating the Rangers in a best of three-match, 2-0.

Brittain’s squad made it to the championship game by defeating three teams from New York State and by finishing first in its pool. In all, 52 teams from across the country competed in the Men’s BB Club Tournament.

Brittain is a resident of Angola, NY and is in his second year at the helm of the men’s volleyball program at Hilbert College.
