Men’s Volleyball Downed at Naz

PITTSFORD, NY – The Hilbert College men’s volleyball team ran into national power Nazareth College on Tuesday and lost to the 14th ranked Golden Flyers 13-30, 15-30, and 14-30. The loss drops the Hawks to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) West Division.
Hilbert’s Craig Kilgore (Blasdell, NY/Frontier) and Bobby Gerhard (Angola, NY/Lake Shore) tried to keep the Hawks hopes of an upset alive with six kills each. Setter Sean Carroll (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) dished out 14 assists in the losing effort.
The Hawks will look for their first win of the 2006 season Thursday, February 2nd at D’Youville College. Starting time is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
