Gerhard Named Hilbert College S-A of the Month

HAMBURG, N.Y. – Men’s volleyball player Robert Gerhard (Angola, N.Y./Lake Shore) was named Hilbert College Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of February 2005. 


The freshman outside hitter led the team in kills for the month with 69, and placed second in assists (19).  Gerhard recorded a season-best 15 kills and .522 hitting percentage in a 3-0 victory over Baptist Bible College on Feb. 4.  Gerhard also recorded 13 kills and a .370 hitting percentage on Feb. 26 in a loss to Johnson & Wales University.  For the season, Gerhard leads the Hawks in kills per game (2.17) as well as total kills (87).


Gerhard is a psychology major and currently maintains a 2.97 cumulative GPA.
