Fort Pierce, FL – After waking up expecting to play a double header against Geneva College today, the Hawk baseball team was informed they would instead play one 9-inning game. They went down in a 6-3 defeat while new faces and names continue to dot the stat-line for Hilbert.
Offensively, freshman Tom Irish was two for three at the plate and hit two doubles and walked once. Senior Ryan Ilardi also went 2 for 4 with a double bagger. Freshman Tony Marra carried the team for 4 and 2/3 innings before sophomore Justin Hulbert picked up the final 3 and 1/3 markers.
Hilbert (0-3) is slated for a late-afternoon double header against Wesley College beginning at 4pm March 12th.
