EAST AMHERST, NY – The Hilbert College men’s golf team fought through a wet and windy day of competition at the Glen Oaks Country Club and pulled together for a 6th place finish. Medaille's Tyler Ceravolo was the tournament’s medalist (73 score) as his team captured their own invitational, just a head of La Roche and Penn State Behrend . Hilbert’s Ryan Ratajczak finished just six strokes behind the leader coming in fifth place overall to lead 6th placed Hilbert College.
Karl Blomback’s 18th place finish (87), combined with Jason Tabaczynski’s 94 and Jake Reinecke’s 96 resulted in the Hawks 356 team score. Gary Gawera played the course, but his overall score did not factor into the Hilbert’s team score.
The Hawks have a few weeks off before their last match (October 3) prior to the AMCC Championship meet in mid-October. Hilbert next competes as a team at the Spartan Shoot-out at the Tri-County Country Club hosted by D’Youville College.
