Sports Nutritionist to Speak at Hilbert College

HAMBURG, NY – Hilbert College Athletics Department will host a guest speaker, Leslie J. Bonci, Tuesday September 6th at 8pm in Swan Auditorium. The event is open to all students, faculty and staff.
Ms. Bonci is the Director of Sports Nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) for Sports Medicine and is a nutrition consultant to countless organizations in Pittsburgh as well as nationwide.
An expert on sports nutrition, weight management and digestive health, Ms. Bonci is frequently interviewed by local and national print and TV media. A former spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, she writes a weekly blog for Runner’s World magazine and serves on the editorial advisory board of Fitness magazine.
Ms. Bonci is a nutrition consultant to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Pirates, Milwaukee Brewers, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in addition to numerous high schools and universities. She is the sport dietitian for the University of Pittsburgh Athletics Department and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. She also is a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee’s sports nutrition network and has worked with Bryan Clay, Garrett Weber-Gale and Tara Lipinsi.
Hilbert is hosting Ms. Bonci through an NCAA grant for guest speakers in the realm of sports.
