HAMBURG, NYThe Athletics Department at Hilbert College will welcome back the men’s soccer, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball teams who return early to campus in preparation for their fall pre-season training sessions. All three squads must attend a 4 pm mandatory compliance meeting Sunday, August 21 in order to be eligible for their first day of practice.

The women’s volleyball and women’s soccer teams will begin organized practices Monday, August 22 while the men’s soccer team will begin Tuesday, August 23. Any interested student-athlete should speak with the correct coach prior to arriving on campus for the early move-in and the first day of training camp (staff directory).

All athletes must complete NCAA and Hilbert College compliance paperwork and show proof of an updated physical prior to their participation in their first practice and proof of medical insurance.  Each athlete (first year as well as returning) must have a physical on file which clears them for Division III athletics competition as determined by their primary physician.  The medical forms can be found by following these links (physical release / participation and insurance waiver).  The Enrollment Management Office will provide information on a ‘Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan’ if a student-athlete does not have medical coverage. Please call (716) 649-7900 to speak with Linda Frenzel.

The women’s soccer team kicks-off their season September 3 when they travel to Hiram College (OH) for a 2pm match. That same day, the women’s volleyball team travels to the west side of Buffalo and competes in the AMCC vs. NEAC Challenge hosted by D’Youville College. The Hawks will face Keuka College at 1pm and Morrisville State at 3pm. A few days later, the men’s soccer team opens their season up in a 4pm game at Keuka College September 5.

The cross country and golf teams will attend a mandatory compliance meeting Saturday, September 3. Please speak with your respective coach for details.

All other student-athletes must attend a Student-Athlete Orientation Meeting the first week of classes. This meeting date and location will be released on the website mid-August.
