Wolverines swipe Hawks

Grove City, PA – The Hilbert men’s soccer team traveled to Grove City College on September 11th only to come home with a 5-0 loss.  The Wolverines dominated on their home field, outshooting the Hawks 29-2 and capitalizing on the 13-0 corner kick advantage.  Grove City’s Chuck Witt was the big gun during the   afternoon contest scoring three of the team’s five goals.  Richie Kocur and Andrew Quinn each added one for Grove City’s total effort.  The Hawks goalkeeper Kamil Cislak (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) had 16 saves for the afternoon.  Junior captain Eric Russell (Hickory, NC/Iroquois)  {in photo to right} led the team with shots (1).  Grove City moves to 2-1-1 while Hilbert still searches for their first victory after three games.


Hilbert’s next game is against Daemen College under the lights at Amherst High School on Monday September 13th at 7:30pm.
