HAMBURG, N.Y. – La Roche College topped Hilbert College 3-0 Saturday in an important Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference game in Hamburg. The visiting Redhawks improve to 4-6 with the win, while Hilbert falls to 0-6.

La Roche clung to a 1-0 advantage at the half before scoring 1:06 into the second half to take a two goal lead. The Redhawks added an insurance goal late in the game to put the Hawks away.

Hilbert keeper Tim Wieder (Derby, NY/Lake Shore) was busy throughout the afternoon making seven saves in a losing effort.

The Hawks travel to AMCC foe Penn State Behrend Sept. 28 for a 4 p.m. contest.
