Opala Sets Record in Hawks Loss

WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Waynesburg College men’s soccer team recorded a 6-3 win over visiting
Trung Luong (West Falls, NY/West Seneca West) got Hilbert on the board early but the Hawks surrendered two quick goals to end the first half down 2-1.
Waynesburg scored four more in the second half while the Hawks managed to get goals from Jacob Opala (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West), and Tim Jordan (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) to round out the scoring.
For Opala, his second goal of the season puts him as Hilbert’s all-time leader in goals scored with 23 for his career.
The Hawks travel to SUNY Institute of Technology Sept. 10 for a 4 p.m. game against the Wildcats.
