ERIE, PA - The Penn State Behrend men’s golf team hosted the annual Behrend Invitational at Peak n’Peek ski and golf resort on Thursday, September 24. Hilbert College along with 11 other schools participated in the event which drew six AMCC rivals in an early show down for the championship later in the season.  Washington & Jefferson carded a 308 to take the team title. Hilbert’s stickmen finished with a combined score of 361 which was good for 11th place.

Top finishers for Hilbert were Brian Rathke (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon-Saint Jude) and Ian Frost (Cherry Creek, NY/Pine Valley) with scores of 85. Hilbert’s other competitors were Tim Hourihan – 93 (West Seneca, NY/St. Franics) and James Costaines - 98 (Hamburg, NY/Frontier).
Up next for the golf team is a date at Glen Oaks country club when they participate in the Medaille Invitational on Saturday, September 26.
