Golf Team Opens Season with 4th Place Finish

COLLINS, NY – The Hilbert College golf team started the 2005 season with a fourth place showing yesterday at the Daemen College Invitational. The Hawks finished behind overall winner Robert’s Wesleyan College (317), Daemen College (318), and Medaille College (340).
Hilbert’s Glen Ufland (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon) turned in the best score for the Hawks (343) shooting an 80 at Gowanda Country Club in Collins, NY. Robert’s Wesleyan’s Paul Meabon led all players with a 74.
The Hawks return to action this Sunday, September 18th at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Invitational. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
