HAMBURG, NY: The Hilbert men’s basketball team was hungry for their second win of the season and they fed themselves well on January 18th with their hard fought victory over the visitors from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. The Hawks came out fast and took care of the basketball enroute to their 83-65 win against the Bobcats. Hilbert’s record improves to 2-13 and 1-9 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. Greensburg drops to 7-9 (5-6 AMCC). Leading the way for the balanced Hawks scoring was Chris Parrott (Warsaw, NY/Warsaw) with 21 points. Greensburg’s Darnell Hampton hit for 19 points for the visiting Bobcats.
