INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Hilbert College men’s basketball team continues to be ranked among the nation’s NCAA Division III leaders as the 2005-06 final rankings have come out.
Out of 383 teams, the Hawks finish the 2005-06 season ranked 43rd in assists per game (16.6) and 71st in blocked shots per game (3.6).
Sophomore guard Michael Reyes (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon) completed the season with 144 assists in 26 games (5.5 apg), good enough for a ranking of 29th nationally. In the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) semifinals, Reyes dished out 13 assists against Lake Erie College which ranks 9th on the year for game highs.
Sophomore guard Dallas Reinard (Smethport, PA/Smethport) finished the year ranked 67th in three-point field goal percentage (38.9) while junior forward Corey Vander Sluis (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) was ranked 85th in rebounds per game (8.3).
