Thursday, September 10th, Richard Walsh, director of athletics at Hilbert College, hosted an NCAA informational meeting that is required of all student-athletes during the 2009-2010 academic year to attend. NCAA rules and regulations, Hilbert College academic and athletic policies, Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) standards of sportsmanship were all addressed. New NCAA rules and new Hilbert College policies were covered either through Richard Walsh discussion period or through the NCAA "Getting in the Game" video which can be found on the NCAA website.
Athletes who were not in attendance on September 10th need to see Kara Rehbaum, assistant athletics director, to schedule a time to view the video of the evening. All athletes are required to be educated on the procedures within the athletics department and the regulations of the NCAA so that good, sound decisions are made by each and every athlete who represents Hilbert College. As a heads up, budget 50 minutes for this event.
