The Hilbert College baseball team dropped both games of a double header to La Roche College on April 5, 2009. La Roche was victorious over Hilbert by scores of 11-0 and 8-2.
In game one, the Hawks managed eight hits but could not plate a run. The Hawks committed five errors in the field which allowed the La Roche base paths to remain full for much of the game.
In game two, La Roche opened up a 4-1 lead after the first inning. The Hawks would never muster a real threat to the Red Hawks as the Hilbert could muster just five hits in the contest. Senior Brandon Brown (Lyondonville, NY/La Webber) and freshman Matthew Militello (Depew, NY/Lancaster) each recorded an RBI for the Hilbert.
The Hawks return home April 11 to face AMCC opponent Frostburg State University.
