Ranalli Joins HC Baseball Staff

HAMBURG, NY – Hilbert College baseball coach Rob Gladwell has announced the addition of Mike Ranalli to his staff. Ranalli will assist will all facets of the Hawks program.

Ranalli recently served as a student-assistant coach at Brockport State for the 2005 season where he served as a bench coach while working with the Golden Eagle outfielders. He spent the summer of ‘05 playing professionally in Belgium for the Namur Angels while also coaching at the youth league level.

“Mike is an important addition to our coaching staff and will prepare our outfielders offensively as well as defensively,” said Gladwell.

As a player at Alfred State, Ranalli was part of program that reached the NJCAA East District Championship before finishing runner up in 2001. He was awarded the program’s 2002 Most Dedicated Player award before moving on to Brockport where he helped the Golden Eagles to the 2003 ECAC Championship. In 2004 he was a Brockport squad that finished sixth in the Nation after reaching the NCAA Division III World Series.

Ranalli is a two-time Niagara Frontier League (NFL) first team selection out of Niagara Wheatfield High School. He holds a B.S. in physical education from Brockport and an A.S. in liberal arts from Alfred State.
