Fredonia, N.Y. - The Hilbert College baseball team played Fredonia yesterday and fell to the Blue Devils 2-1, and 12-6 in an NCAA Division III doubleheader.
Freshman Dustin Riker (Frontier/Frontier, NY) threw another great game, allowing only one run at the bottom of the sixth. Sam Gioia (West Seneca West/West Seneca, NY), hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to tie the score at 1-1. Cory Lindsley (Pioneer/Yorkshire, NY) suffered the loss on the mound.
In game two, Tim Downey (Niagara Wheatfield/Sanborn, NY) pitched four innings before being relieved by Quinn and Gioia. Gioia hit a three run homerun and Tim Parsell (
