ERIE, PA - The Hilbert College men’s soccer team lost an AMCC match-up to Penn State Behrend (3-0) October 19. Three different Lions players scored for Behrend improving their conference record to 6-1 and solidifying their second place ranking in the AMCC

Hilbert (1-14-1) played close the first half heading into intermission down 1-0. The hosts scored  off a header from a corner kick at 26:56. Behrend riffled off 17 shots in the first 45 minutes while Hilbert’s defense took angles away from the net. Kamil Cislak was credited with 5 saves before intermission.

The second half saw Behrend’s Aaron Meehl and Jake Gamble each put one past Cislak to secure the victory.

Hilbert’s Tyler Coniglio and Ed Minkel worked for one shot each against Jarrod Wassell who protected the goal for the Lions.

Up next for Hilbert is Penn State Altoona October 22. The men’s soccer team will honor their four seniors - Ed Heffron, Eric Russell, Scott Walker and David Walkow before the first kick at 1pm.
