Hamburg, NY – Penn State Altoona had four players hit for double digit scoring en route to their 89-53 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference victory over Hilbert on January 9. In defeat, Magan Campbell (Buffalo, NY/Bennett/ECC) led all scorers with 31 points but didn’t have offensive support from any other Hawk in the afternoon game.  Hilbert (1-11) is 0-6 in AMCC standings while Altoona improves to 3-3 (5-7 overall).

Despite the Hawks best effort to close the gap after intermission, the Lions' full court pressure extended their half time lead and they coasted to victory.  Sophomore Shavonne Walton (Lackawanna, NY/Lackawanna) added 7 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and one block.

The Hawks return to action when they host cross town rival D’Youville College on Wednesday, January 12th at 6 pm.
