Men's Basketball Post First Win in AMCC

Hamburg, NY – In their first home game of the second semester, the Hilbert men’s basketball team dominated Franciscan University of Steubenville in their 75-52 victory. The Hawks held a 43-26 half time lead off their 55% FG shooting, and  continued to control the  second half of play.  Hilbert out rebounded the Barons (46-28) and won the battle of shooting percentages (48% - 32%).  Hilbert improves to 4-8 and 1-4 in the AMCC, as Franciscan falls to 2-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

Four Hawks hit for double digits scoring  led by junior forward Keon Rembert (Bennetsville, SC/Archbishop Walsh) who finished with 16 points and 13 rounds. Guards Chris Parrott (Warsaw, NY/Warsaw), Dan McFarland (Lancaster, NY/St. Mary’s), and Chris Hoak (Hamburg, NY/St. Francis) each added 12 points while Parrott grabbed 10 boards.

The Hawks host Penn State Altoona  tomorrow, Sunday, January 9th at 3pm.
