Alfred, NY - With the halftime score knotted at 26, Alfred University slowly pulled away from Hilbert College in the second half November 27th to earn a 65-50 victory in women’s basketball. Junior Magan Campbell (Buffalo, NY/Bennett/ECC) was the game leading scorer and rebounder (22 points/13 rebounds) in thirty-nine minutes of court time. The Hawks (1-3) were better shooters (38% FG vs. 26%), but they committed too many turnovers and gave up too many offensive rebounds which led to easy scores for the host team.
