Pittsburgh, PA – The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference held their men’s cross country championships October 30 at Schenley Park with all ten member institutions participating. Franciscan University bumped-off three-time defending champion Penn State Behrend in winning their first ever AMCC crown. Franciscan senor Bill Jones won the men’s 8K race, for the second time in three years, helping the Barons secure the team title. Jones (27:11.9) out sprinted Penn State Behrend’s Carl Kallgren by three seconds and then set up the run-way for his teammates to fly in as #3, #4, and #5 finishers good for 26 team points. Behrend captured 6th through 11th place making this a very close race.
